Emperor Trajan (98 A.D. - 117 A.D.)

Trajan Group, LLC takes its name and core attributes from the Roman Emperor Trajan (53 A.D. - 117 A.D.), considered to be one of the "Five Good Emperors" of Rome. Trajan has long been designated as Optimus Princeps, or "Best Ruler", among his counterparts in Roman history. He ruled for nearly twenty years from 98 A.D. until 117 A.D., and was responsible for the Roman Empire reaching the pinnacle of its expanse. Trajan was universally known for his patience, intelligence and humility. A brilliant tactician and fearless commander, Trajan also understood that happy citizens are more productive, and thus he emphasized justice, well-being, and a more reasoned discourse. He was admired by the people and respected by the Senate, and thus was able to successfully foster a spirit of cooperation among Romans in the course of creating some of the grandest development and improvement projects in the history of Rome. Among his countless achievements in this regard are Trajan's Market, the world's first shopping mall, Trajan's Column and Trajan's Forum, all which still stand in Rome today as a testament to the accomplishment, strategic vision and innovation of Trajan.
